Split-grade test sheet in the darkroom — Saves paper you say?
Well maybe not paper but does give a clearer idea of exposure times across the whole image.
Working horizontally with a grade #0 and vertically with grade #5 to create various split-grade combinations to choose from. In this case 6" +8" burn at grade #0 gradient from bottom to top with a further 4" at grade #5 across the whole image.
